1) Briefly describe your organization's history, product(s) and services offered.
SmartSearch Online, the first 100% web-based applicant tracking system was developed by APS. APS is a privately
held company based in San Diego, California that has been in business for over 18 years. APS is an innovative company
with a history of industry “firsts” including the first resume scanning based system, the first
32-bit client/server applicant tracking system, and the first web-based applicant tracking system
on the market. We offer a host of services including training, customization, implementation support and data
processing,
2) Is your company currently expanding or decreasing its workforce?
APS is steadily expanding its workforce. The company is currently hiring sales reps to work
remotely in strategic regions around the United States. Over the last two years, APS expanded office space, built
a state of the art server farm at our corporate headquarters, installed a DS3 connection to the internet, added
new fault tolerant hardware and hired additional technical support and administrative personnel to keep pace with
sales growth.

4) Is your company currently for sale or involved in any transactions to expand or become acquired?
No.
5) Is the organization financially stable?
Yes. APS is a self capitilized C Corporation and has been in business since 1986.
6) What is the source of your funding? Who are your current investors?
APS is privately held with four principals who treat the employees as stakeholders in the company. APS made the
decision to go without venture capital financing because it
would drive up the cost of the product and divert attention away from the needs of our customers in favor of
servicing the needs of investors. APS success is largely a result of our “slow growth” strategy, focus on
product development and customer relationships. There is
no operating debt and no debt servicing issues. Our clients are our only investors.
7) What percentage of your revenue is derived from applicant tracking?
100% of APS revenue is derived from sales of the SmartSearch Online staffing management software and directly
related services such as document processing (resume scanning), custom programming, and
consolidated billing service (in partnership with GoJobs and InfoSpi).
8) How much deferred revenue do you have? What percentage of your revenue is recurring (not-labor)?
Recurring revenue is approximately 70%.
9) What are your intentions on raising additional capital?
Capital is raised by increasing sales revenue, expanding market share, and building on existing client relationships
by adding new services.
10) Are you a profitable business entity?
Yes, the company is profitable.
11) Who are your clients? What is the attrition rate of your clients in the past two years?
SmartSearch Online is used at diverse corporations such as STMicroelectronics and Sharp Healthcare as well
as Adecco and Corestaff, two of the four largest staffing companies in the world. For the past four years,
SmartSearch Online has lost less than 2% of its clients. In every case these clients were lost because they went
out of business or were acquired by another company that had another system in place.
